![]() I usually get ideas from the students on what they would like to type/compete for. Detailed rules are found in the student access section of this website including names of the top weekly typists. Rewards for the students are paid by my wonderful donors and supporters of my classroom including myself! I post many Donors Choose projects that fund these rewards for the highest student typist level assigned by me. To sign up and type with us, visit My screen name is wtodoric9. This is a challenge but I mastered a way to motivate and reward my students to type daily!Ĭlick on each one of our Nitrotype Challenges below for more info! I want to ensure my students are not only in class typing but typing on a daily basis. I like to save those on a very long word so I can beat my students! But to be honest with you, I have a couple students who do not use Nitros and beat me! To make the game even more fun and exciting, I started doing challenges. Nitros are great because you can skip a word when typing. You can paint your car as well usually for $700 but depending on the ride it costs more! I remember spending over a million dollars to paint my Gotham! You will definitely get hooked on this website! There's another thing called a Nitro. Like my Gotham for example! See below!! I had to save a lot of cash and earn a HIGH level for that one! ![]() ![]() You would have to view the dealership to check what you can afford. After your first race and with a little bit of practice you earn Nitrotype cash to go out and buy a new ride! Some cars take certain levels and time to earn. The faster you type, the faster you make it to the finish line where you earn cash and other great rewards! You start off with a gray "rent a car" we call it. Members on Nitrotype compete in car races. There are many great typing websites but I fell in love with this one in particular. I was introduced to it by a student in 2018. When Gold was originally introduced in 2013, the price was a one-time payment of $10 in 2019, this was changed to an annual payment of $10.NitroType is a typing website. Nitro Gold is a membership that can be purchased with real money that grants users additional features, such as a no-ads interface throughout the site. They are collected through a combination of speed, accuracy, and most importantly, number of races completed. The global leaderboards are a page on the site listing the top 100 teams and individual users on Nitro Type in the last 24 hours and in the current season by the number of points they've earned. Teams can be created by any user who has raced at least 50 times for $50,000 Nitro Cash. The maximum number of users for one team is 50 racers. Any player can join or apply to join a team as long as they meet its requirements. Nitro Type teams are groups of racers that compete for placement on the season leaderboard. Starting from 0 WPM, the speed brackets are divided in tens until the mid-100s, from which point they are broken in to 20's due to the rarity of human typists at those speeds.Īt the end of each race, players are awarded Nitro Cash depending on their placing in the race, accuracy percentage, and number of session races, Additional bonuses may be achieved by racing with friends, having a Gold membership, or beating the Wampus, the rarest bot in Nitro Type. ![]() Racers are pitted against other racers that have a similar WPM so as to create a fair competition. ![]() The length of the passage varies depending on the average speed of the users in the race so that races take about the same time for all racers, usually 20-30 seconds. Each race consists of five typists, usually a combination of Nitro Type bots and real human players, typing a short passage as fast as they can in an effort to get their vehicle, which can be one of several hundred that can be obtained either by earning them through achievements or by purchasing them in the Dealership, to the finish line first. Races are the main element of Nitro Type. ![]()
